NEC of Japan have just launched a new line of Centrino 2-base laptops, including the LaVie C. On the basic configuration, this 16-inch notebook PC sports an Intel Centrino 2 P8400 (2.26GHz) processor, a GeForce 9600 GS with 256MB of Video-RAM, a 2GB of RAM, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, either Blu-Ray drive or DVD super mult burner, and twin speaker @ 2.5W with MaxxAudio technology. Other features include Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI output, mini- D-Sub15 pin, SD / SDHC / MMC / memory stick (PRO) / xD-Picture Card slot, has 1.9 megapixel Web camera, and pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium. The display itself boasts a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel. The LaVie C price is start from ¥190,000 upwards.
